Birthdays Many of you enjoy celebrating your child's birthday. Unfortunately, birthday parties and/or treats are not allowed on campus. If you wish, you may choose to have lunch with your child at school that day. Also, if you wish to distribute birthday party invitations at school, all classmates must be invited. Otherwise, please set up an alternate means of distribution. Breakfast Students who eat breakfast at school must do so before entering the classroom. |

| Dismissal At the end of each day, students will be escorted by the teacher to their dismissal areas. If the child is a car rider or a walker, please wait for them in their designated areas. Picking up your child from the classroom will not be necessary. Dismissal Changes If your child's dismissal plan changes, please send in a note outlining the changes. Please also notify any after-school care facilities who might be expecting them. |

| Lunch Boxes If you need to drop off your child's lunch box, please do so in the lunchroom. There is a book case on the east wall, by the parking lot, marked with different grade levels. Lunch Money Students who need to put money into their account may do so in the morning. However, I recommend setting up a meal pay account at Mealpay Plus. Lunch with your Child You are welcome to have lunch with your child any day at our designated lunch time: 11:24 am - 11:34 am. You may choose to have lunch with your child at the picnic tables or in the cafeteria. I ask that you please meet us in the cafeteria at our scheduled lunch time instead of outside our door. Also, if you'd like to have your child's friend sit with him/her outside at the picnic tables, I must first receive a written note of permission by his/her parents. |

Signing Your Child Out Early On days that you need to sign your child out early, please sign your child out at the office. They will then give you a pass to give to the teacher. If possible, please write a note in your child's agenda indicating the time that the child will be signed out. This helps to ensure that your child is packed up and ready to go when you arrive. Snack Students will not have a separate time for snack due to our lunch time. Snack Cart Westchase offers a variety of snack items for the children to purchase. Since I do not monitor the children's snack consumption, please set up a snack-purchasing plan with your child at home. In previous years, some children were allowed to purchase a snack 2-3 days out of the week. More commonly, children were allowed to purchase one snack a day. Mealpay Plus allows you to view your child's spending so that they can be held accountable =) |

Tardies Students who enter the classroom after 8:00 am will be marked tardy. Exceptions will be made for late bus arrivals and those students with a breakfast pass. If a student is brought to school by a parent and is tardy, the student must be signed in at the office. Merely being on campus does not make a student present in my classroom. |
